In this exciting side quest, Indy and Gina venture into the mysterious temple located in the area of Wat Si Sawai in their search for Aran. The temple used to be a testing place for warriors with lots of traps, most of them being pipe puzzles.
Well, after turning on the quest, approach the point marked on your map near Tongdang's Hut to start searching for Aran. Venture into the surroundings and continue onward until the Tree House comes into view. Ascend the ladder and raise the wooden plank within to discover a letter from Aran. With the knowledge that he is located in Wat Si Sawai, make your way there by boat or follow any nearby signs for a quick journey.
When you reach Wat Si Sawai, put on the Royal Army costume from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to enter the Khmer Warrior Temple without incident. If you don't, then prepare to sneak in and fight your way in. Once you reach the temple, head forward until you come across a room with rubble piled in the middle and Aran's voice is echoing. He says he feels trapped and is seeking help.

Finding the Way to Aran in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Once you've completed the puzzle, head to the left and jump on to the now-activated cogwheels, before climbing up the tree root. Wait for the cogwheel to line up with the opening before passing through it. Use jumps and your whip swings to reach the big cogwheel you want to crawl underneath. Open the door and pull the lever to help Gina get up.
With the other door now closed, Indy and Gina will have to collaborate, pulling the lever down so they can enter. Go downstairs, through the cogwheels, and to the right. Pull the lever to lower the bridge, then cross it to find a pretty interesting pipe puzzle is waiting for your attention upstairs. Solve it to contact Aran.
How To Solve The Pipe Puzzle in Indiana Jones And The Great Circle?
To solve the pipe puzzle, turn on the left water source as the right one is already running and collect four Pipe Segments. Climb up the ladder on the left side, and move the lever to turn on the left water source.
Find two pieces of pipe on either side of the room's stairs to the left (1) and right (3). Simply head up the stairs left and right. A jar of torches is with one of them in the room itself (2). The last is behind a locked door (4). To get the last one:
- Place the T-shaped pipe piece into the central slot, facing east.
- Place a half-circle pipe segment in the pipe slot beside the closed door, with the open side facing east.
When the door opens, take the final Pipe Segment and solve the puzzle once and for all.
At the end of the puzzle, you will have three main pipes, each leading to a drain. Indy must rotate the Pipe Segments to ensure that all three main pipes successfully route water into the three drains:
- The top pipe slot in the middle is the T-shaped Segment (1).
- Below that is a half-circle segment (3).
- Place the other half-circle (2) on the right side.
- Place the straight Pipe Segment (4) to the left.
- Just follow the setup in the pictures above.
After solving the Khmer Pipes puzzle, head through the now open door and meet Aran. Have a short conversation with him, then follow him to the secret room where he found an Ancient Relic. Head back to Uncle Sunan in the Village and tell him Aran stayed in the temple to investigate, thus completing The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest.
