This has been one of the most nagging issues in Honkai Star Rail, especially with the addition of Wishful Resin into the 3.0 Amphoreus update. Relic farming can be pretty burdensome and full of tedium in search of just that perfectly rolled relic; players tired of bad luck in it will appreciate the help from this new material when it saves the time and disappointment on relic farming.
That relic grind will never truly be over, however, since such a valuable resource isn't cheap and the HSR character roster is always growing. If you'd like to get some Wishful Resin for yourself, follow along with the following steps.
How to Get Wishful Resin in Honkai Star Rail?
The easiest and most convenient way to get Wishful Resin is to synthesise it using Relic Remains, however there are other methods as well. For the uninitiated, the following will bring you to the Omni-Synthesizer, where you can destroy undesired artifacts:
- Hit the pause button.
- Choose Stock.
- Select the "Relic" option.
- Select Salvage from the drop-down menu.
The crafting cost of one Wishful Resin is 800 Relic Remains, which is the equivalent of roughly 80 gold relics. If you want to craft more Wishful Resins using Relic Remains, you will have to use Self-Modeling Resin or wait for the next month's reset. The limit is two. Players can increase their monthly crafting capacity of Wishful Resins by up to three using Self-Modeling Resin.
Reward Items for Battle Passes
If spending Relic Remains and Self-Modeling Resin isn't an option, then players can get a free Wishful Resin simply by leveling to level 50 on the battle pass. Those who have a premium pass can acquire another Wishful Resin upon reaching level 20.
Herta Contracts
For those who really want to get as much Wishful Resin as possible, you can get even more by purchasing Herta Contracts using Oneiric Shards - the same premium currency used to buy Stellar Jades in HSR - among other things.
Large package of contract costs 2680 Oneiric Shards and will allow selecting up to three positions out of its list and includes 10 Star Rail Special Passes while the tiny package of the contract (Strategic Support) allows taking only two goods.
How to Use Wishful Resin in HSR
The process for using Wishful Resin in Honkai: Star Rail is the same as the process for using Self-Modeling Resin in order to craft customized relics.
- Pause the game.
- Select Synthesize.
- Click on the Relic Crafting tab.
- Click on a relic you would like to synthesize.
- Click the Customized Synthesized option.
- Click on a Main Stat and at least one substat.
Custom relic synthesis will always take one Self-Modeling Resin. Picking up to two substats ups the Wishful Resin requirement to 4.
