As you boot up the console for your shift as a specialist in all things mystical and bizarre, literal success with the Home Safety Hotline rests in the satisfaction of your callers. Will you get the answers to their questions right, or will you give in to your curiosity and just let this cosmic tragedy go down?
There are two possible endings for the Home Safety Hotline. These will unlock the "Unemployed" and "Junior Supervisor" achievements respectively. Here's how to get both ends in your HSH career.
You have two ways of getting the Unemployed ending. You can deliberately bomb The Trial by deliberately getting the riddle answers wrong, or you can bomb most of your calls that start on Monday through Saturday. If unable to correctly answer the majority of caller questions, you will not advance to The Trial.
To get the Unemployed ending, you have to fail every riddle the masked guy throws at you if you had all the answers before starting The Trial. No matter how right you named every entity before The Trial started, failure to solve those ominous puzzles leads to an unpalatable change. Unfortunately, Carol uses her fae powers to turn you into a mouse.
The original plan for this awful conclusion was a more simple cutscene of Carol wiping the protagonist's memory, making them the next victim of a Memory Wisp. Art Book clarifies that Roald Dahl's The Witches served as an inspiration for the game over finale.

Leaving the position of junior supervisor
If you reached the seventh-day trial, you need six out of eight riddles correct. Otherwise, you can get a good ending if you answer every question correctly on your six shifts pre-The Trial and get at least 50% in the quiz.
Due in part to your exemplary service, Carol intends to promote you, regardless of your performance in The Trial. At a humble gathering of fae folk to mark your promotion to Junior Supervisor, Carol whiskes you away to a secluded spot and puts a coronet on your head. It's more expensive than being a mouse, but it's a promotion.
Seasonal Worker DLC completes all Home Safety Hotline calls
Like the main game, Seasonal Worker has two different endings. Here's how to unlock them.
Bad Ending.
The sad ending will pop up the moment your Cheer Levels fall below 0 percent. Whenever you fail, your cheer level drops. Our heroine Rebecca won't save the town from The Twilight due to the tragic finale. Many will undoubtedly give in when extreme danger comes along in the form of deadly creatures prowling the streets, kidnapping infants, and devouring souls en route.
A news broadcast showing how The Twilight has affected the community plays during the final cutscene. An emergency broadcast shortly after advises viewers to seek shelter and not to engage with any of the creatures. Because you weren't able to protect the citizens, it will be a cool and overcast Christmas.

Thankfully, the Seasonal Worker downloadable content doesn't actually culminate in a pop quiz. Though your Cheer Level will never actually drop below zero, you'll still want to get as many correct answers as possible to prevent this from happening. You can technically finish the game at a low of 2.4% Cheer Levels and still get the great ending. You can get this ending no matter what your level is.
As it would turn out, you managed to foil the plot of The Twilight as evidenced by the ending. Those guys at the Home Safety Hotline sure know how to have fun at their annual Christmas party, and once the credits roll, you get to see Rebecca pass out from alcohol poisoning.
