This comprehensive guide will break down each segment of the Lymbic Forge sequence, providing a clear path through the environmental puzzles, combat encounters, and mechanical challenges that stand between you and the forge's powerful core.

Locating the Lymbic Forge and Preparing for the Challenge

Before you begin, ensure you are well-equipped for combat. The journey through Lake Cynon and the forge itself is patrolled by dangerous enemies, including the formidable Hollow and Grief Hazes. Stock up on resources and approach each new chamber with caution, as puzzles often sit adjacent to hostile areas.

Puzzle #1: The Pillars of Sequence

Your first objective lies in a clearing near a stagnant body of water. Here, you will find a circle of five ancient stone pillars, each marked with a unique symbol.

• Finding the Clue: Before interacting with the pillars, search the immediate area for large stone slabs or etched walls. These carvings hold the vital key, depicting the order of symbols you must follow: Crown, Droplet, Key, Star, and Chalice.
• The Solution: Using your melee weapon, strike each pillar in the exact sequence shown on the clues. The Chalice pillar is typically located at the highest point, such as the top of a short flight of steps.
• The Reward: A successful strike in the correct order will trigger a mechanism, unveiling a hidden compartment. Inside, you will find the Spindle Gear. Insert this gear into the obvious device nearby to manipulate the environment, lowering the water level and granting access to the next stage of your journey.

Puzzle #2: The Riddle of the Torches

The next chamber presents a more cerebral test. An inscription on the wall reads: “To the north and to the south, the way will be revealed.”

• Understanding the Riddle: This puzzle requires you to interact with wall-mounted torches in aspecific orientation. "North" and "South" refer to your character'sfacing direction relative to the riddle's inscription.
• The Solution:

• Stand facing directly south and locate the two torches on the wall in thatdirection. Interact with them to rotate each one into place.
• Next, turn around 180 degrees to face directly north. You will see anotherpair of torches. Manipulate these as well, ignoring any otherdistractions in the room.
• The Reward: Correctly aligning all four torches will unlock a mechanism, granting you the Order of the Eye Sigil. As you progress further into the adjacent large chamber—clearing outany enemies—be sure to scavenge thoroughly to also find the Phol Guard Sigil.

With both sigils acquired, a previously sealed door will open, leading to avast chamber centered around a massive water wheel and gear mechanism.

• Draining the Chamber: Your goal here is to drain the water completely. Start by inserting the Spoked Gear you found earlier into its designated slot. This will activate themachinery, lowering the water level just enough to reveal a new, lowerpathway to explore.
• Finding the Large Gear: Descend to the newly accessible area. You will need to navigate this submerged section to locate the Large Gear, often found in a chest or guarded by minor enemies.
• The Final Drain: Return to the central mechanism and insert the Large Gear. Thiscompletes the assembly and activates the forge's full pumping power,draining the chamber entirely and granting full access to the lowestfloor and the Lymbic Forge Core.

Claiming Your Rewards and Advancing the Story

With the chamber drained, cross the bridge to the core area. Be prepared for a significant fight.

• The Final Boss: Defeat the powerful Hollow and its accompanying blue Grief Hazes. Oncethe area is secure, open the ornate sarcophagus to claim yourmagnificent rewards:
  • Fundamentals of Lymbic Forging
  • Amine Prism: Sigma
  • Aster’s Band of Domination
  • The Hammer of Modus
• Unlocking the Secret: Return to the main water wheel chamber. Now, with the Hammer of Modus in your inventory, you can place it into a newly accessible slot. This action opens a sealed doorway.
• Endgame: Inside, approach the pedestal to claim the legendary Sword of Grief. A final wave of enemies will attack—eliminate them to secure the area. Finally, install the Keystone of Grief into the forge's core. This triumphant action will trigger a concluding cutscene, cementing your victory over the Lymbic Forge and propellingyou toward the next chapter of the Hell is Us story.
