How to Open Pentos Algea's Tomb in Hell Is Us

As you explore the mysterious world of Hell Is Us, you'll find that many of its secrets are locked behind clever puzzles. After making your way to the Vyssa Hills and entering the Watcher's Nest, you'll be faced with a challenging enigma: opening the tomb of Pentos Algea. To do this, you must find four different slots and place ceramic flowers in them, with each slot corresponding to a specific detail about Algea's life.If you're having trouble figuring out the solution, this guide will provide a direct walkthrough to solve the puzzle and unlock the tomb.

Hell Is Us: How to Open Pentos Algea's Tomb

Understanding the Puzzle

The Pentos Algea's Tomb puzzle requires you to find and use four ceramic flowers. You can find these flowers on the top of Algea's tomb itself, which is located on the ground floor of the Watcher's Nest, and they are marked with a yellow glint.The puzzle's central clue, found on a file in the main room, states that you can open the tomb through "his name, his title, the symbol of his order, and the date of inception of his order." Each of these four clues corresponds to a specific slot located in different areas of the Watcher's Nest.

Step 1: Pentos Algea's Order Symbol

The first symbol you need to place a flower in is found in the circular area at the very entrance of the Watcher's Nest. This symbol represents the order that Pentos Algea founded, the Order of Grief.

• Location: As soon as you enter the Watcher's Nest, turn to your left. You'll see a series of symbols on the wall with slots below them.
• Solution: The correct symbol is the one that looks like an oozing eye—a squiggly line with several vertical lines running down from it. Place a ceramic flower in the slot directly underneath this symbol.

Step 2: Pentos Algea's Title

The next symbol is located in the main room and corresponds to Pentos Algea's title as the Founder of the Vigil.

• Location: Head back towards the main room. On a wall to your left, you will see a series of three metal shields with symbols on them.
• Solution: The correct symbol is on the rightmost shield, which shows a book with a candle in the middle. Place your second ceramic flower in the slot beneath this shield.

Step 3: The Inception Date of His Order

This part of the puzzle requires you to choose the correct year of theorder's inception from two different dates. The clues for this are found on a whiteboard up the stairs from the main room.

• Location: Head up the stairs towards the whiteboard. You will see a large banner on the wall with two symbols on either side of it.
• Solution: A note on the whiteboard will show you the dates 1512 and 1513. The correct slot is the one on the right side of the banner, which represents the year 1513, the year the order was founded. Place your third ceramic flower here.

Step 4: Pentos Algea's Name

The final and most subtle slot is hidden in a small alcove and represents Pentos Algea's name.

• Location: Walk behind the whiteboard you just used for the previous clue. You'll discover a hidden alcove with two slots inside.
• Solution: As you enter the alcove, look to the left. The slot on the left has a small sign next to it with the name Algea inscribed on it. Place your fourth and final ceramic flower here.

Once you have placed all four ceramic flowers in the correct slots, a loudrumble will be heard from below, signifying that the puzzle is completeand Pentos Algea's tomb has been opened. You can now descend and claimyour reward.
