Expanding the Arcana Pool: The Altar of Ashes functions as the conduit for acquiring new Arcana Cards. By strategically investing Ashes in cards positioned near the periphery of the board, players progressively unlock additional cards. This process continues until a maximum of 25 Arcana Cards have been added to your repertoire.
Upgrading the Altar of Ashes: To further augment your Arcana capabilities, an upgrade to the Altar itself is necessary. This upgrade unlocks the ability to enhance individual Arcana Cards, significantly boosting their effectiveness. Unlocking this functionality requires acquiring the "Consecration of Ashes" Incantation. The Incantation can be obtained by gathering specific resources: 6 Ash, 1 Cinder, and 6 Fate Fabric.

Empowering Arcana Cards: Moon Dust serves as the primary resource for upgrading individual Arcana Cards. Upgrading a card enhances its potency, offering a strategic advantage during your Underworld excursions. To ascertain the specific Moon Dust cost associated with upgrading a particular card, simply enter "Insights" mode while at the Altar of Ashes. Each Arcana Card can be upgraded a maximum of twice, leading to a substantial increase in its power.
Obtaining Moon Dust: There are several methods for acquiring Moon Dust:
- Crafting: The Alchemy tab at the Crossroads cauldron provides the option to craft Moon Dust, provided you have the necessary recipe.
- Fated List: Completing tasks on the Fated List can reward you with Moon Dust.
- Wretched Broker: The Wretched Broker offers Moon Dust in exchange for 80 Bones.
- Charon's Shop: Moon Dust can also be purchased from Charon's shop before your final encounter with Chronos.
