Where to Find Boiling Glands in Grounded
To acquire Boiling Glands, you must seek out and defeat Bombardier Beetles. These large, green-winged insects are typically found in the southeast area of the yard, encompassing regions such as the southern Grasslands and the Eastern Flooded Zone.Key locations where Bombardier Beetles frequently spawn include:- Around the Trowel Gulch: This area is located southeast of the Lemon Crime Punch-O (the lemonade carton) and near the Banner of BURG.L. Be cautious, as Larva and Lawn Mites also frequent this vicinity.
- By the Frankenline: Look for them west of the pond, in the general area of the power lines.
- Near the Big Rock by the Fence: Southeast of the Frankenline, near a large rock close to the fence. This location can be more dangerous due to the presence of patrolling Orb Weavers, making the first two options generally safer.
- Other reported locations include: Near the Hedge on the rocks by the porch, around the big rock with the rake, under rocks near the western anthill, and near the sprinklers.
How to Beat Bombardier Beetles
Bombardier Beetles are formidable foes due to their potent acid-spitting attacks.

Consulting a Bombardier Beetle's Creature Card (after analyzing its parts) reveals its vulnerabilities, resistances, and weak points:
- Weaknesses: Chopping, Fresh (elemental damage)
- Resistances: Busting (damage type)
- Weakpoint: Rump (rear end)
Combat Strategies:
- Ranged Approach (Recommended): Due to their acid attacks, a long-range weapon like the Crow Crossbow is highly effective.7 You can gradually chip away at its health from a distance, using rocks, grass clumps, or other environmental objects for cover from its acidprojectiles and lingering acid pools. Continuously sidestep and aim forits weak spot (the rump). Maintaining distance also helps mitigate the damage from its powerful lunge attack.
- Melee Approach: If you prefer close-quarters combat, equip a weapon with Chopping or Fresh damage (e.g., an axe). Bombardier Beetles typically face you when attacking, protecting their weak point. Try to flank them or use quick hit-and-run tactics to get around to theirrump. Be prepared to perfect block their bite attacks and quickly moveout of acid pools.
- Post-Defeat Loot: Once defeated, Bombardier Beetles will reliably drop Bombardier Parts and, with a good chance, one or more Boiling Glands.
Resource Surveying:
After obtaining and scanning at least one Boiling Gland using a ResourceAnalyzer at any Field Station, you can then use the Resource Surveyorterminal at the same station. This allows you to scan for activeBombardier Beetles on the map. Placing a marker will display the Boiling Gland icon, aiding in navigation and ensuring you don't miss anydropped loot.
