To complete The Last Goodbye, find the body and place the tracker on it, then return to base and task the Gunny. The location of the body in "Left Behind" is exactly the same as in "The Last Farewell" because it is the same body. The body is located on a farm outside your faction's city, next to your faction's base.

Should I complete 'Left Behind' or 'Final Goodbye'?

Although Gunny and Handshake clash during these missions, you don't have to worry about bothering one of them while doing missions for the other. You will still have access to all future quests from this vendor even if you complete the quest for another vendor. If you complete the mission "Left for a Handshake", you will receive two VIP numbers, $3,400 cash, 400 XP, and "Handshake" reputation. If you complete the mission "The Gunny's Last Goodbye", you will receive an M4A1 rifle, $3,400 cash, 400 experience points, and reputation with the Gunny. From a purely economic point of view, the M4A1 costs more than two VIP chest plates. But you have to upgrade with Handshake to buy VIP armor, and you can buy the M4A1 directly from the Gunny.
