To find containers in the Wasteland Landmarks as part of the Welcome to the Wasteland quest, you must find and open 10 containers in these locations. To complete this mission, you can open chests, ammo boxes, and craft chests. It doesn't matter if you unlock all 10 locations in one place or go to several iconic locations in the wasteland. This challenge can also be completed in one or multiple matches, depending on how long it takes you to find enough containers to open. Opening the containers is the easy part of this mission, but finding landmarks in the Wasteland can be a challenge. Fortunately for gamers, there are many options to choose from.

Iconic wasteland locations in Fortnite

There are a total of 17 interesting locations in the Wasteland that you can explore to find containers. The locations of all these places are as follows.

A northern part of the sand steppe.
One north of the Nitrodome.
An east side of the Nitrodome.
Three between Sandy Steppes and Nitrodome.
Four south of the Nitrodome and between Brutal Staging Area and Redline Rig.
One south of Redline Rig.
Three between Redline Rig and Brawler Battlefield.
Three south of Mount Olympus.

In all of these locations, there are at least a few containers that you can get loot from for this mission. Most of them also have vehicles and vehicle mods that can be applied, making them a great place to loot early if you want to upgrade the vehicle. The loot you'll find in Wasteland Landmarks across the map is pretty solid and will prepare you for boss battles in search of Mythic weapons and medals. They are all located fairly close to where the bosses usually spawn, giving you a great opportunity to quickly grab some loot and start fighting them right away. If you successfully search a total of 10 containers in Wasteland Landmarks, you will earn 15,000 XP. It's pretty simple, so be sure to do it if you want to earn additional Battle Pass rewards.
