How to unlock free Hiccups emote in Fortnite

A new, free emote has been released in Fortnite, and players can add it to their locker without even having to log into the game. The "Hiccups" emote is available for a limited time through a special promotion, so you'll need to act fast to claim it. The opportunity to get this free cosmetic expires very soon, and after that, the only way to acquire it will likely be by spending V-Bucks in the Item Shop.This guide will show you exactly how to get the free Hiccups emote. Since the promotion has unlimited quantities, anyone can get it.

How to Get the Free Hiccups Emote

To get the Hiccups emote, you must participate in a Twitch Dropscampaign. The process is simple and only requires a few quick steps.

• Create a Twitch Account: If you don't already have one, create a free account on Twitch.
• Link Your Accounts: You must link your Twitch account to your Epic Games account. This is a crucial step, as it allows Epic Games to send the in-game reward toyour Fortnite locker once you've earned it. You can do this by navigating to the "Connections" section of your Epic Games account settings.
• Watch Eligible Streams: The Hiccups emote is a Twitch Drop that requires you to watch eligiblestreams for a cumulative hour. An eligible stream is any live Fortnite broadcast that has the "Drops Enabled" tag. You can easily find these streams by going to the Fortnite category on Twitch and filtering by this tag.

The current Twitch Drops campaign for the Hiccups emote is set to end onMonday, September 22, at 12 AM ET. This means you have a very limitedtime to watch a full hour of an eligible stream and claim the emote from your Twitch inventory. Once the drop is claimed and you've linked youraccounts, the emote will automatically be added to your Fortnite locker the next time you log in.

After the promotion ends, the Hiccups emote will likely be available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date, but you will have to spend V-Bucks to get it.
