The chaotic conclusion of Chapter 6, Season 4, saw a spectacular wormhole mishap orchestrated by Kodos and Hope. This cosmic blunder resulted in the complete mash-up of the Battle Royale island with the world of
The Simpsons, creating the wacky and wonderful environment of Springfield Island. This unique mini-season invites players to explore this new map, interact with beloved characters, and, in this case, clean up some interdimensional chaos. One of the key missions introduced in the
Springfield Stories Quests involves countering the antics of the new boss,
Evil Homer. Driven by a desire for mayhem, Evil Homer has gone around the island and
modified various street signs, turning the roads into dangerous, nonsensical traps. To restore order and claim a valuable XP reward, players must
find and destroy five signs changed by Homer.Don't let this destructive quest leave you wandering aimlessly. This guide details the signs you’re looking for, the most reliable locations to find them, and the quickest method to complete this quest in a single match.
Fortnite: Find Signs Changed by Homer
Understanding the Mayhem: What Signs to Look For
Evil Homer’s vandalism isn't subtle. He's specifically targeted signs that would cause the most road hazard and confusion. When scanning theenvironment, look for signs that have been altered into these chaoticcommands:
- Infinite Speed Limits: Signs where the speed limit numbers have been replaced with the infinity symbol (∞) or an impossibly high number.
- "GO" Stop Signs: The classic, red STOP signs have been changed to read GO, instructing drivers to barrel through intersections.
- "No Emote" Near Cliffs: Absurd warning signs, like the universal No Emote symbol, placed in precarious, unnecessary locations near drop-offs.
Since these are all street signs, your search should be focused exclusively on roads and high-traffic areas within named locations.
The Most Reliable Sign Destruction Locations
You need to destroy a total of five signs to complete this stage of the Springfield Stories Quest. Fortunately, there are two expansive Points of Interest (POIs) where you can easilyfind more than enough signs in one drop, eliminating the need to travelfar.
1. Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
The center of industrial and, often, catastrophic activity in Springfield is an excellent hunting ground.
- Why it works: The Power Plant is a large complex with numerous internal and externalroads, parking lots, and utility pathways. All of these requireextensive signage for safety and regulation.
- Search Strategy: Land near the perimeter and work your way inward. Look along the mainroads leading into the plant and around the parking areas. The highdensity of infrastructure here means you're almost guaranteed to findmultiple modified signs.
2. Evergreen Terrace
The residential streets of the Simpsons' neighborhood are deceptively dense with loot and, critically, street signage.
- Why it works: Every street corner, stop sign, and side road in Evergreen Terrace is a potential spawn point for Homer's chaos. Unlike larger, open POIs, thesigns here are closely packed within a contained network of streets.
- Search Strategy: Drop into the main residential area. Run along the sidewalk, checking every intersection and street corner. Look near driveways, garages, and on the main roads that connect thedifferent clusters of houses. You can often find all five signs neededfor the quest in this single location.
Quick Tips for Completing the Quest
To complete the quest swiftly and secure your XP reward, follow these tactical steps:
- Keep Your Pickaxe Ready: To destroy any object in Fortnite, including these signs, you must use your Harvesting Tool (Pickaxe). Simply approach the altered sign and strike it a few times. It only takes a second to break.
- Land Hot, Loot Fast: Since both the Power Plant and Evergreen Terrace are popular landingspots, prioritize finding a basic weapon immediately after landing.
- Use Vehicles (Carefully): While searching, you can use a car for speed, but remember that many of Homer's signs—like the GO signs at intersections—are designed to causevehicular chaos! Be mindful of opponents and environmental traps.
- Complete in One Match: By focusing your drop on either the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant or Evergreen Terrace, you should be able to find and destroy all five required signs without needing to start a second match.
By effectively targeting these high-traffic and sign-dense locations, you’ll neutralize Evil Homer’s chaotic signage, contribute to Hope'sefforts, and secure that valuable XP to propel your Battle Passprogression.
