Weekly quests in Fortnite often encourage players to explore less common features around the island, and one such task might require you to search a jewelry case. If you haven't encountered one before, don't worry! They aren't too difficult to find once you know where to look. Searching these cases not only completes the quest for valuable XP but also gives you a chance to snag some decent loot. Here's how to find and search a jewelry case in Fortnite.

All Jewelry Case Locations in Fortnite:
Jewelry cases can be found exclusively within Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Stores, and there are five of these establishments scattered across the Fortnite island. While some are located within major Points of Interest (POIs), others can be found at smaller Landmarks or even unnamed locations. Here are the five places you can visit to find jewelry cases:How to Rob Jewelry Cases in Fortnite:
To search and essentially "rob" a jewelry case in Fortnite, simply approach it until the interact button prompt appears. This button will be displayed next to the word“interact” once you are within sufficient range of the case. Thespecific button will vary depending on your platform (e.g., 'E' on PC,'X' on PlayStation, 'A' on Xbox, 'Y' on Nintendo Switch), but it will be clearly visible when you are close enough to the jewelry case.
Be Prepared for a Fight (or Flight): As soon as you interact with and search a jewelry case, the NPC guards who patrol the jewelry store will immediately become hostile and beginto attack you. Be ready to engage in combat or prepare for a quickescape. It's generally wise to ensure you have some decent weapons anditems before attempting this mini-heist so you can defend yourself ifnecessary. Fortunately, each Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Store typically hasat least a few chests nearby, allowing you to gear up shortly afterlanding from the Battle Bus.
Completing the Weekly Quest: For the weekly quest that requires you to search a jewelry case, you only need to interact with and open one single case to complete the objective and earn your XP reward. Each Smash N’ GrabJewelry Store contains at least three jewelry cases, providing ampleopportunities to fulfill this task.
What Do Jewelry Cases Drop in Fortnite?
The primary loot you can expect to find inside jewelry cases is gold bars. These can be useful for various in-game transactions, such as hiring NPCs or purchasing items from vending machines.
Additionally, jewelry cases have a chance of dropping a singular Dill Bit. Dill Bits are a rarer form of currency used at specific locations like Outlaw Flushers or Black Markets.
Since there's no way to know the exact contents of a jewelry case before you search it, it's often beneficial to open all of the jewelry cases present within a Smash N’ Grab Jewelry Store to maximize your potential loot, especially if you are hoping to find a Dill Bit or accumulate a significant amount of gold bars.
If you are specifically after Dill Bits and don't find one in the jewelry cases, you might consider acquiring some Thermite and heading to a vault, as vaults are guaranteed to contain Dill Bits. However, for the simpletask of searching a jewelry case for the weekly quest, hitting up any of the five Smash N’ Grab locations and interacting with one of the caseswill suffice.
