How to find King Kong in Fortnite?

According to iFireMonkey, a trusted source in the Fortnite leak community, this places the appearance of King Kong on the island at 25 percent. King Kong shows up only if Godzilla is on the mix and that's also with a 20-percent chance; King Kong indeed is an elusive creature.

Godzila is a very elusive creature, and since King Kong's presence is closely related to him, finding the former is quite difficult. One cannot be sure if King Kong will appear when Godzilla does. While Godzilla can make an entrance by himself, King Kong can only enter the fray provided Godzilla is in the same match.

For more information: King Kong currently can't spawn by himself; he only has a 25% chance to appear when Godzilla enters the stage.

Although we have never managed to spot King Kong ourselves, we have encountered Godzilla a few times. The big ape, however, has been found by some players. According to eyewitnesses, a rift portal suddenly opens in the sky, spewing forth a burst of red sparks, and King Kong leaps down onto the island. Letting out a mighty roar that sends shivers in the air, beating his chest he leaps back into the portal.

King Kong is exactly the same as the skin variant offered in the item shop for 1,500 V-Bucks. He was an enormous sight to behold as he arrived on the island during this mini-event.

Is it possible to transform into King Kong in Fortnite?

Unlike Godzilla, King Kong offers no special play mechanics whatsoever. You can't play as King Kong like you can Godzilla, and whereas it's easy to acquire a Godzilla Medallion, access to a King Kong Medallion is but a pipe dream. King Kong has become a short-lived cutscene encounter, if you're very lucky.

The red sparks spilling out of the portal with Kong seem to be potential supply drops just begging to be picked up, but we have not been able to test or confirm this theory. We will update this article as soon as we know more.

While there are no gameplay elements or events linked to King Kong at the moment, this situation may evolve with a future Fortnite update.
