Superman has made a triumphant return to Fortnite in 2025, bringing with him an exciting Mythic item that allows players to embody the Man of Steel himself.1 This highly sought-after ability grants immense power, making for an epic and dominant experience in the battle royale.

How to Become Superman in Fortnite

To transform into Superman and wield his Mythic powers, players must acquire "Superman's Call" during a match.

Survive the First Circle: You'll need to stay alive and active until the first storm circle has closed.

"Superman's Call Has Appeared" Message: Approximately two minutes into the game, a message will flash across your screen indicating that "Superman's Call has appeared."

Locate on Map: Immediately bring up your map. A specific marker (often an 'S' symbol) will indicate the drop location of Superman's Mythic item. The item will fall from the sky, similar to supply drops.

Prepare for a Fight: Due to the immense power it grants, many other players will undoubtedly converge on the item's location. It's crucial to:

• Gather Weapons: Before heading to the drop, ensure you have a few decent guns and ample ammunition.
• Be Ready for Combat: Expect intense engagements upon arrival, as numerous players (likely five or more) will be vying for the Mythic.

Pick Up and Transform: If you're fortunate enough to outmaneuver or defeat your opponents and pick up the item, a short animation will play, transforming you into Superman. You will then fly into the sky, gaining your new abilities.

Superman's Mythic Abilities and Gameplay

Once transformed into Superman, you gain access to a formidable set of Mythic abilities:

• Flight: Soar across the map with unparalleled mobility.
• Heat Vision (Laser Eyes): Project powerful beams from your eyes to damage enemies and structures. Recent buffs have significantly increased its damage.
• Super Punch/Strength: Engage in close-quarters combat with powerful punches that can devastate enemies and structures.
• Structure Destruction: Easily tear through buildings and obstacles.

Important Considerations as Superman:

• Marked on Map: While incredibly powerful, you will also be prominently marked on the map, making you a prime target for other players.
• Bonus for Damaging/Eliminating: Enemies will receive bonus items for damaging you, and a significant reward for eliminating you.
• Resurrection: If you are defeated while playing as Superman, it's not the end of your match. You will simply respawn through a rift, allowing you to continue the game as your original character.
• Limited Duration: The Superman Mythic has a limited duration, allowing you to wreak havoc for around 5:30 minutes (after recent buffs).

Upcoming Superman Content

Epic Games is continuously releasing more Superman-themed content. As of July 15, 2025 (with the v36.20 update):

• Fortress of Solitude POI: A new Point of Interest (POI) called the Fortress of Solitude has arrived on the map.
• Superman NPC: Superman himself is an NPC located within the Fortress of Solitude, offering services and possibly items for Gold Bars.

These additions further immerse players in the Superman experience, providing new ways to interact with the Man of Steel in Fortnite.
