How to Fix Football Manager 2024 Database is Not Updated

Are you a passionate football fan who loves managing your own team in Football Manager 2024? Have you been frustrated by the database not being updated and not being able to access the latest player transfers, team formations, and other important information? Don't worry, you're not alone. Many players have encountered this issue, but fortunately, there is a simple solution. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to fix the Football Manager 2024 database not being updated problem.

To begin, launch Football Manager 2024 and navigate to the main menu. In the upper right corner, you will see various options. Look for and click on the "Career" option. This will take you to the Career Mode screen where you can start or continue your managerial journey.

Once you're in Career Mode, it's important to check if you have any custom database (DB) files selected. These files can override the default database and prevent you from accessing the updated version. To do this, click on the "Database" tab located on the left side of the Career Mode screen. If you have any custom DB files, you will see them listed here. If this option is greyed out and unavailable for selection, proceed to Step 3.

To resolve the database not being updated issue, we need to manually copy the necessary FMF (Football Manager File) file from the Football Manager 2024 Editor Data folder. Begin by opening your file explorer and navigate to the following directory: Documents -> Sports Interactive -> Football Manager 2024 -> Editor Data.

Once you're in the Editor Data folder, locate the FMF file that corresponds to the updated database you want to use. This file contains all the new player transfers, team formations, and other relevant data. Copy this file to your clipboard.

Next, go back to your file explorer window and navigate to the following directory: Documents -> Sports Interactive -> Football Manager 2024 -> db -> setups. This is where the game stores the database setups. Paste the FMF file you copied earlier into this folder.

With the FMF file successfully pasted into the correct location, you can now relaunch Football Manager 2024. Once the game is open, return to Career Mode and check if you can now select and access the updated database. If everything has been done correctly, you should be able to see the changes reflected in the game.
