In FBC: Firebreak, players take on various missions throughout the mysterious Oldest House, facing dangerous Corrupted Objects that can sabotage their progress. These cursed items act as dynamic match modifiers, introducing unexpected challenges that can range from minor annoyances to mission-ending threats.
Unlike traditional co-op shooters, FBC: Firebreak allows players to disable these modifiers mid-mission—but the game doesn’t explain how. If you're struggling with these hazardous objects, this guide will show you how to identify, locate, and destroy them effectively.
How to Neutralize Corrupted Objects
To eliminate Corrupted Objects, you’ll need a
Black Rock Gun, a specialized weapon that fires Black Rock shards—a material capable of neutralizing corruption. Here’s how to find and use it:
Locate an Ammo Station – On Clearance Level 3, check the lower-left corner of active Ammo Stations. A Black Rock Gun should be mounted there.Search Shelters – Occasionally, you may find one inside a Shelter, so keep an eye out.Black Rock Gun Mechanics
- Ammo Capacity: 30 rounds per magazine, 60 in reserve (90 total).
- No Resupply: Unlike other weapons, you can’t restock ammo for it.
- Efficient Destruction: Each Corrupted Object takes about 15 shots to neutralize, meaning one gun should be enough for all three objects in a mission.
Where to Find Corrupted Objects
If you’ve selected Corruption Level 3 before starting a mission, each of the three mission segments willcontain one Corrupted Object. These items spawn randomly, and some evenmove around, forcing you to track them down.
Notable Corrupted Objects & Their Effects
Here are some of the most dangerous cursed items you might encounter:
- Table Saw – Disables your team’s Resonance Shields, leaving you vulnerable.
- Crowbar – Sabotages mechanical devices like generators and power breakers.
- Snare Drum – Extremely dangerous: Boosts enemy speed, including attack rates of heavy gunners.
- Ramen Lantern – Disrupts light sources, reducing visibility.
- Wolf Globe – Weakens gravity, altering movement and combat.
While some, like the Ramen Lantern and Wolf Globe, are manageable, others—such as the Snare Drum—can instantly ruin a run by turning enemies into relentless killing machines.
Best Strategies for Dealing with Corruption
- Prioritize Destruction: Take out Corrupted Objects as soon as possible to avoid escalating difficulty.
- Team Coordination: Assign one player to hunt them down while others handle enemies.
- Watch for Movement: Some objects float or shift positions, so stay alert.
By mastering these tactics, you’ll minimize the risks of Corruption and keep your team alive in FBC: Firebreak. Stay vigilant, and good luck, Agent!
