How to Tame Dune Armadillo in Enshrouded

The Pact of the Flame update in Enshrouded introduces the adorable Dune Armadillo as a tameable farm animal. This guide provides a step-by-step process for taming these desert dwellers and setting up their new home.

Crafting Dune Armadillo Bait:

The first step to taming a Dune Armadillo is crafting the appropriate bait. Speak to the Farmer NPC, Emily Frey, and select the option to craft Dune Armadillo Bait. The required ingredients are:

• 1 Saffron (found in the Kindlewastes)
• 1 Yucca Fruit (found in the Kindlewastes)
• 1 Flour (crafted at a Grinding Stone using Wheat Grains)
• 1 Sage Leaves (found in the Nomad Highlands)

Saffron and Yucca Fruit are found in the Kindlewastes, while Sage Leaves are located in the Nomad Highlands. Craft Flour at a Grinding Stone in your base using Wheat Grains. Each crafting session yields 10 Dune Armadillo Bait. It's recommended to gather extra Saffron and Yucca Fruit for crafting Dune Armadillo Food later.

Locating Dune Armadillos:

Dune Armadillos inhabit the Kindlewastes, the same region where you gather most of the bait ingredients. The Kindlewastes are located on the eastern side of the world map, characterized by sandy areas and deserts.Search the sandy plains of the Kindlewastes until you spot a Dune Armadillo. Ideally, find one in an open area with no nearby enemies. Enemies can scare the Armadillo away or even kill it, wasting your efforts.

Enshrouded: How to Tame Dune Armadillo

Crouch and Approach: Crouch and slowly approach the Dune Armadillo. Approaching too quickly will scare it away.

Throw the Bait: When close enough, throw the Dune Armadillo Bait in its path. It may take a few tries for the Armadillo to take the bait.

Observe the Symbol:Once the Armadillo takes the bait, approach slowly. A yellow "?" symbolwill appear above its head. If you see a red "!", back off immediately. If the "?" disappears, you can approach and pet the Armadillo. Thiswill give you one red heart.

Repeat: Repeat thebaiting and petting process three times to earn three red hearts andsuccessfully tame the Dune Armadillo. Any interruption, such as scaring the Armadillo or an enemy attack, will reset your progress.

Caring for Your Dune Armadillo:

After taming your Dune Armadillo, provide it with a suitable home. You'll need two things:

A. Dune Armadillo Food:

Craft Dune Armadillo Food using:

• 1 Saffron
• 2 Yucca Fruit
• 2 Sugar Cane

B. Dune Armadillo Feeder:

Build a Dune Armadillo Feeder to automatically dispense the food. The required materials are:

• 7 Wood Logs
• 1 Nails

C. Large Animal Bed:

Craft a Large Animal Bed for your Dune Armadillo to sleep in. The required materials are:

• 8 Twigs
• 5 Straw
• 2 Conifer Logs

With food, a feeder, and a bed in place, your Dune Armadillo is now tamed and settled into its new home.
