How to Get Sulfur in Obscure
To farm Sulfur in Tainted, head to the Nomad Highlands. More specifically, the region southeast of the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire has a density of Sulfur nodes. This is unlocked by leveling up your Flame Altar to Level 4. It's worth completing the Ancient Spire so you can teleport back near the mining area easily.
Coming down from the top of the spire and facing southeast, you will find a type of land that is reddish and full of rocks. You can find Sulfur and Lapislazuli here, which are very valuable materials. You will need a Pickaxe in order to mine these minerals. Note that the better quality your pickaxe is, the faster you are able to mine. You are advised to arrange where to put your Skill Points for maximum efficiency in mining.
The Mason skill is available for 2 points and increases pickaxe efficiency by 30% against stone and resource veins. Next is the Miner skill, costing 4 points and giving a 10% chance that extra resources will increase your haul.
One has to be able to manage his stamina while in extended mining sessions. Keeping items like honey handy will, in turn, replenish stamina and avoid other disruptions of your rhythm of gathering. Keeping this stamina pool at optimum levels will ensure maximum material extraction per run.
