How to Find Erudition Gesture in Elden Ring?


Acquiring the Second Academy Glintstone Key


  • Location: The second Academy Glintstone Key is located within Raya Lucaria Academy, an imposing structure located in Liurnia of the Lakes. Players will need to have progressed far enough in the main story to be able to access this area.
  • Navigation: Head to the Hall of Debate's Site of Grace. From there, proceed north through the door into an outer courtyard. Turn left and climb the stairs that line the walls of the academy.
  • Rooftop Access: Jump over the railing and head down the stairs until you reach the lower rooftop. Run south across the rooftops, eliminating or evading any hostile enemies you encounter along the way.
  • Key Recovery: Keep an eye out for a ladder located on the right side of the rooftops, near an enemy archer. Climb the ladder, cross the bridge, and defeat the enemies waiting for you. Turn right at the end of the bridge, then left to follow the path that runs along the edge of the building. Drop down to the rooftop on the west side.
  • Further Progress: Proceed north along the rooftop, then drop down to the lower platform. Continue forward and drop down to another rooftop located further north. From this rooftop, head west and drop down to the next one, where you'll find an enemy archer on your right. You don't need to confront it, but you do need to drop down to the lower platform on your left.
  • Building Entrance: Finally, head north and notice a building with several open windows on its side. Enter this building.
  • Cautious Ascent: Inside the building, locate two large chandeliers that act as raised platforms. Climb these chandeliers with caution, as it's easy to fall and take damage.
  • Obtaining the Key: On the chandelier on the south side, you'll find the prized second Academy Glintstone Key. This item will glow a distinctive blue color for easy identification.

Encountering Sorcerer Thops


  • Location: Once you've acquired the second Academy Glintstone Key, you'll need to head to the Church of Irith, a place of religious worship located near Stormveil Castle in the Lands Between.
  • Crucial Interaction: In the back of the church, next to a towering statue, stands the Sorcerer Thops, a non-player character who is essential to interact with.
  • Exchanging Items: Approach Thops and strike up a conversation. Make sure you have the second Glintstone Key from the Academy in your inventory, as Thops will request it in exchange for the Scholarship Gesture.
  • Receiving the Gesture: If you have met the prerequisites, Thops will give you the Scholarship Gesture as a reward for the key.
