When you accept this mission you will have to go to Castle Morne, south of Weeping Peninsula. You'll find the Wailing Peninsula to the southeast from Limgrave.

Keep in mind that being an optional quest, Castle Morne gets tricky early in the game, but you can take advantage of its optional quest to come back later.

To find the sword you will have to access the castle, where you will meet Leonine Misbegotten, the head of Castle Morne.
