How To Beat All Chimera in Dying Light The Beast

In Dying Light: The Beast, Kyle Crane returns as the protagonist, a survivor with a unique ability to tap into the power of a "Beast Mode" after being subjected to years of experimentation. The main foes you face in this new chapter are Chimeras, the result of terrible experiments on the infected. These monstrous bosses are key to unlocking and leveling up your Beast Powers, as defeating each one grants you GSB (a crafted stimulant from their DNA) and Beast Points.As you progress through the main story, you'll encounter a total of eight Chimeras, each with a unique set of attacks and abilities. Defeating them is crucial for Kyle to gain control of his inner monster and use his powers at will. Here is a breakdown of all the Chimeras and how to defeat them.

Beast Skills Gained from Defeating Chimeras

Each Chimera you defeat rewards you with Beast Points, which you can use to unlock new skills and abilities for your Beast Mode.

Charged Smash	Perform a powerful smash attack that pushes enemies away.	1
Heavy Lift	Lift very heavy objects and throw them at enemies.	1
Furious Charge	Use Furious Charge when running to increase speed.	1
Beast Controlled	Kyle now has control over when Beast Mode activates.	2
Battering Ram	When using Furious Charge, run into enemies to ram them out of your path.	1
Launch	Extend your jump.	1
Beast Conquered	Beast mode stuns enemies around you when activated.	2
Aerial Smash	Perform a smash attack while midair to smash enemies out of the way.	2
Ferocious Swipe	Perform the swipe while using Charged Smash to use a circular attack on surrounding enemies.	2
Beast Unleashed	Regain more health when attacking in Beast Mode.	2
Hook Thrust	Use the Grappling Hook while in Beast Mode.	2
Agonizing Roar	Stun enemies around you.	2
Apex Predator	Activate Beast Mode before the bar is full.	3

All Chimeras and How to Beat Them

You will face these bosses during the main story quests. It is a goodpractice to save your Beast Mode for the end of the fight, when theChimera's health is low, to finish them off quickly.

Reaper

• Quest: "Safe Haven"
• Powers: Rushes, strikes with three powerful swipes.
• Strategy: This is your first Chimera, so the fight is a bit of a tutorial. Dodgewhen he rushes at you, and attack him when his back is turned or when he is momentarily stunned after a missed attack.

Defect

• Quest: "Life After Life"
• Powers: Slams the ground to stun you, hits with three consecutive swipes.
• Strategy: Dodge backward to avoid his ground slam. Use fast melee weapons like amachete to quickly get in and out of striking range. Utilize the gascanisters in the environment by igniting and throwing them when he isstunned.

Mist

• Quest: "First Blood"
• Powers: Screams to stun, rushes to attack, climbs and leaps from a height, spits toxic goop.
• Strategy: The environment is murky and misty, so be aware of your surroundings.Watch for her attacks from above and use mid- to long-range weapons.Attack her as she leaps to avoid her hit, and use any brief pause shetakes to get a few hits in.

Behemoth

• Quest: "A New Strain"
• Powers: Rushes and ground slams, throws rocks and cars, summons other infected.
• Strategy: Time your dodges to avoid his rushes and ground slams. Use cars andother objects as cover from his thrown projectiles. Use a pistol or SMGto quickly take out the infected he summons to prevent beingoverwhelmed.

Toxin

• Quest: "Toxic Relationships"
• Powers: Flings toxic goop from a pillar, jumps between pillars.
• Strategy: This fight requires you to constantly be on the move. Keep yourdistance and use mid- to long-range weapons and throwables like grenades and molotovs. Predict his movements to avoid the toxic goop. A quickmelee weapon can be used to deal with the infected he summons.

Matriarch

• Quest: "Requiem for a Scream"
• Powers: Screams to alert more infected, launches at you from afar, slashes with long arms.
• Strategy: The key is to not get overwhelmed by the infected she continuouslysummons. Listen for her creepy crying to pinpoint her location, and usethrowables or a mid-range weapon to get a few hits in before she canattack you. Molotovs are particularly useful for slowing down theinfected horde.

Wraith

• Quest: "One Flew Over the Volatiles' Nest"
• Powers: Turns invisible, lashes out and spits acid.
• Strategy: The Wraith turns invisible, so you must listen for his chattering totrack his location. Use blunt force melee weapons to hit him hard, evenwhen he is invisible. Be ready to dodge his acid spit.

Colossus

• Quest: "Buried Truths"
• Powers: Huge stomps and roars to stun, throws boulders, sprints at you.
• Strategy: Use the central cylindrical pillar in the arena to your advantage. Youcan run him around the pillar to avoid his attacks and then get asurprise attack in from behind. Use mid-range weapons like a crossbow or assault rifle, or a fast melee weapon if you're good at dodging. Youcan also lure him to the toxic barrels to get him to explode them,causing massive damage.
