Well, there's a lot of non-main-campaign material for any player to delve into in the vast world of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This includes treasure hunts and all manner of bonding sessions between party members. Dead Men Tell Some Tales is, quite honestly, one of those types of quests, wherein it puts players on a treasure hunt with the Spirit of Adventure leading the way to buried riches.
You'll need to kill a substantial number of enemies en-route to said treasure, but by Eora is it going to be worth it.
There are, in fact some hidden goodies with this side quest, and we can assist you in gathering all of them by following our methodology herein.
Follow the quest marker for Dead Men Tell Some Tales to a series of ruins in Cliff Climb, Rivain. Be wary of any enemies on this path and dispatch them. There is a conversation to be had with the Spirit of Adventure spawn that occurs when you're standing in the ruins. She instructs Rook and the others to find some buried treasure trove and to head in a nearby direction.
The first clue she gives to the party includes mention of a huge skeleton and some wrecked boats in the beach-like area near the ruins. Here, the party is attacked by a legion of zombie pirates. All enemies from this area onwards are vulnerable to Necrotic damage. Defeat them and proceed to the big rock beside the skeleton's tail.
The second clue is here: "Where the rock stands tall, find the shortest waterfall." Head down to the bottom of the waterfall en route to the second marker. More undead pirates will spawn in and you'll need to kill them to complete the mission. Go back to the bottom of the waterfall to find the new clue: "My booty's within reach, you'll grab it near the beach."
Head to Winding Shoreline and go to the sand where there's a small pool of water just beside the castle ruins. A group of zombie pirates, with their captain, will emerge and attack the party. Once the party wins against all of their foes, the Spirit of Adventure will appear. Ask it a question.
Pleased by your quest of riches, the Spirit will fortify your bond with the group and will reveal a secret passage so you can get a hold of the loot. You will be rewarded with an Exotic Utility Belt named Glorious Ultimatum along with Gold and XP. Ultimate activated when equipped fully restores HP and health potions will now restore Ultimate.
