First of all, you need to unlock Nala after completing Lion King Realm storyline events and reach level 10 friendship with her. Following that, you'll have to get through her quest called "Here and There and Back Again", and inside it—one of these weird fish will be required to be caught in order for you to move forward. Once completed, you can continue catching them, but with some limitations.
The Here and There Fish can be found anywhere within the waters of Dreamlight Valley, but not where there are already ripples. They do sometimes spawn in white ripples, but that is very rare. But, there's one catch: the only time you can find these fish is from 6 AM to 10 AM or 6 PM to 10 PM in-game. Since Disney Dreamlight Valley runs on actual world timing, make sure to cast your line at either of these times.

To complete Nala's friendship quest at level 10, you have to cook a dish for her—the Lioness Feast. This delicious dish requires an exact number of ingredients, which includes one Mushroom, one Tomato, one Oregano, and one Here and There Fish.
The Feast of the Lioness is not only here for completion but includes many other practical uses outside of raising friendship levels. You can sell it for a respectable sum of 3,108 Star Coins or consume it to recover a lot of energy—2,368 points.
If you want an even stronger meal, look into creating the Ghostly Fish Steak. This five-star delicacy consists of a Here and There Fish, a Lemon, Asparagus, a Bell Pepper, and some Oregano. Not only will it sell for 3,548 Star Coins, which is a more significant price, but it will also restore an incredible 3,282 energy points when eaten.
