Now that the latest chapters are out, the truth is finally revealed: Pluey is a fun, quirky minigame tucked away as a secret for dedicated players to discover.
If you're eager to try Pluey for yourself, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to unlock and play it in Deltarune.
How to Unlock Pluey in Deltarune
1. Return to Castle Town After Beating Chapter 4
Once you’ve completed Chapter 4, head back to Castle Town and enter the TV building next to Top Bakery.
2. Enter Mike’s Room
Inside the TV building, go to the end of the hallway and interact with the door labeled "MIKE." When prompted, enter the code 6453 to gain access.
3. Find the Mysterious Cat Statue
Inside Mike’s room, proceed until you see a cat statue with a pink hand on its head. Choose the "Pet It" option, which opens a new path.
4. Rescue the Pink Mouse (Maus)
Continue down the new hallway until you encounter a pink mouse near another cat statue. Interact with the statue again, and the mouse will transform into a giant hand that you can control.
5. Clear the Path Using the Maus Hand
Now that you have the Maus hand, return to the first corridor and interact with the large cat statue that was previously unresponsive. Remove it—along with other blocking statues—to reveal a hidden passage.
6. Face the Secret Boss: Motormouth Mike
Proceed through the newly opened path, save your game, and enter the next set of doors marked "Mike." This triggers a battle against Motormouth Mike, a secret boss with multiple challenging phases.
After defeating Motormouth Mike, return to his room to unlock three minigames. To play Pluey, select the cat character on the right and place it into the floor slot.
What Is Pluey? A Fun, Chaotic Minigame
Pluey is a fast-paced, arcade-style minigame where your goal is to rescue cats while avoiding raindrops. Here’s how it works:
Grab cats from the left side of the screen and drop them into the basket on the right.
Avoid raindrops—each hit costs you one of your three lives.
As the game progresses, cats start falling from the sky, making it harder to dodge the rain.
Though simple, Pluey is an entertaining distraction that adds extra replay value to Deltarune. It’s a charming Easter egg for fans who enjoy uncovering every secret Toby Fox hides in his games.
