How to hack patrol bots in Deep Rock Galactic? - The bots

Patrol bots are flying bots that are usually found in industrial sabotage missions, but they also protect their brothers in any mission, in case you try to hack a Prospector data repository or attack a Prospector Drone.

Although they are drones and can fly, they do not represent a huge danger, since they have regular health and their weak point is in their head. Besides, they are usually accompanied by Shredders.

When you hack one of these, it will become friendly for a moment and face the enemy AI, which will make it lose health until it shuts down. But in order to achieve this you will have to know how to hack patrol bots.

Hacking them is not something quite simple, since Patrol Bots can only be hacked randomly and you can't force it to happen. When you destroy them they usually fall to the ground and explode, but if it doesn't explode and remains on the ground it is because you can hack it.

You will only have 30 seconds to interact with the Patrol Bot using the hacking device. Remember that doing this will make it friendly. But in case you don't hack it in the minimum time, it will recover and attack.

Avoid shooting them with firearms, as this overheats them and causes them to explode immediately.

And you should note that the Patrol Bots that appear during the Caretaker fight in the Industrial Sabotage missions are not hackable by default. And note that the chances of a bot being hackable decrease if there is a bot at your command.

That's all you need to know about hacking patrol bots in Deep Rock Galactic, so now that we're done with this we hope you're ready to start hunting these bots to hack them.
