In Death Stranding 2, there are 9 Hot Springs, each providing Sam with unique temporary buffs after a relaxing bath. Beyond the initial two (located outside the Motherhood base and within Heartman’s Lab), the remaining seven require players to actively find and dig them up at specific points across the expansive Australian map. Discovering these precise locations can be a bit tedious, so this guide will outline all Hot Spring locations in Death Stranding 2 and detail their accompanying effects.
Hot Springs can also be utilized for fast travel in Death Stranding 2. Additionally, bathing in a Hot Spring is a requirement to unlock the "Written in the Stars" trophy. The very first Hot Spring you'll encounter is the one situated outside the Motherhood base. Fast traveling from there will transport you to the one inside Heartman’s Lab. Once you have spoken to the Hydrologist within Heartman’s Lab, you will gain access to the Hot Spring Digger, enabling you to search for and excavate other Hot Springs across Australia.
Here are all the Hot Springs and their effects:

To dig for and bring up Hot Springs in Death Stranding 2, you will need a PCC Lv. 2 or higher.
Once you have equipped the PCC and selected the "Hot Spring Digger" option, you will need to hold L2 to get a reading on how far you are from a Hot Spring. You will hear an audible beep; this sound will grow louder as you move closer to the correct spot and fainter as you move away. Once you are at the precise location and the build area is level, you will be able to press R2 to construct the Hot Spring Digger, thus revealing the Hot Spring.
