Date Everything is a quirky dating sim where players can romance all sorts of household objects, unlocking 48 unique achievements along the way. One of the most puzzling achievements, "Terrapin Drop," requires players to bring a turtle to life. Many have tried interacting with turtle-shaped towels or searching their homes for a real turtle—but the solution is much more involved.
In this guide, we’ll break down exactly how to unlock the Terrapin Drop achievement by helping a certain sentient sink embrace his true reptilian destiny.

Step 1: Complete Sinclaire & Maggie’s Questlines

To unlock the Terrapin Drop achievement, you’ll need to progress through Sinclaire’s storyline—a sentient sink with an identity crisis—and Maggie’s related quest. Here’s how to do it:

Affirm Sinclaire’s Humanity – When speaking to Sinclaire, you must tell him he is a man, not a sink.

Suggest He Try Being a Turtle – After confirming his humanity, when he asks if he must remain a sink forever, choose:

• "I mean... you could try being a turtle?"

Avoid the Bad Ending

If you tell Sinclaire he’s just a sink (without the required Smarts SPECS for the Jimson Weed dialogue option), he’ll suffer a mental breakdown, locking you into his "Hate" ending and preventing further progress.
Instead, after telling him he’s a man, reassure Maggie by selecting the dialogue option highlighting how happy Sinclaire is. This ensures you also get Maggie’s "Love" ending, provided you’ve resolved her other cases correctly.

Step 2: Unlock the "Realize" Ability

Before Sinclaire can become a turtle, you must unlock the Realize mechanic, which transforms sentient objects into human-like beings. To do this:

• Earn 10 "Love" Endings – Successfully romance and achieve a "Love" ending with 10 different characters.
• Receive the Realization Message – Once unlocked, you’ll get a notification explaining your new ability to "realize" objects.

Step 3: Realize Sinclaire as a Turtle

With the Realize ability unlocked, return to Sinclaire and select the option to realize him. His requirements are simple:

• 0 in all SPECS stats (except Sass, which needs 5).

If you previously suggested he try being a turtle, he’ll transform into one upon realization, granting you the Terrapin Drop achievement!

Final Tips for Success

✅ Complete multiple "Love" endings first – You need 10 before realizing any character.

✅ Always choose supportive dialogue – Keep Sinclaire’s spirits high to avoid his "Hate" ending.

✅ Check your SPECS stats – Ensure you have 5 Sass before realizing Sinclaire.
