How to Place Plants on Roofs in The Sims 4

How to Place Plants on the Roof in The Sims 4

Many players are accustomed to finding plants under the "Decorations" tab in Build Mode, but these are typically considered indoor plants and often come with vases, making them unsuitable for roof placement. Toadd plants directly to your roofs:

Enter Build Mode: Open your game and navigate to Build Mode.

Access Roof Sculptures Category: Within the Build section, select the Roof Sculptures category. This category is represented by an icon of a chimney.

Browse for Plants: Scroll through the various objects in this category. You will now findseveral plant options that are specifically designed for roof placement.

Alternative: Outdoor Plants Category: As an alternative, you can also visit the Outdoor Plants category within the Build section. Look specifically in the Shrubs and Flowers sub-category. Many plants here are now compatible with roof placement,and the game will indicate which ones work with your roof's shapedirectly from this section.

Adjust View: Beforedragging and dropping your chosen plants onto the roof, ensure yourcamera view has the walls up. Also, make sure you are on the top floor of the house in your Build Mode view. This prevents the roof from being hidden and allows for easy placement.

Place Your Plants: Simply select the plant you like and drag it directly onto the desired spot on your roof.
