Dark Souls 3: How to Reset
Respeccing in Dark Souls 3 is easy and uncomplicated. Finding the NPC required for this task can be a challenge, as it is tucked away in a concealed spot, making it difficult for players to uncover its whereabouts. To respec in Dark Souls 3, seek out Rosaria, hidden away within the Cathedral of the Deep. Once you've successfully navigated the entire Cathedral of the Deep area, follow these steps:
- Head left at the Cleansing Chapel bonfire to find the shortcut.
- Use the elevator on the left to access the rafters and the rooftop.
- Ascend the ladder positioned against the building, then leap onto one of the beams atop the rooftop.
- Ascend the beam until you arrive at the entrance to the rafters.
- As you ascend into the rafters, make your way with precision towards the knight wielding the Ultra Greatsword. Skillfully evade his attacks, then leap down to the platform located just beneath the end of the rafter.
One unmistakable indicator that you've chosen the right platform is the presence of numerous slugs. While their attacks may be relatively weak, their sheer numbers pack a punch. Exercise caution as you approach the area; initially, it may appear that only one slug is present, but be aware that several more will emerge from behind you when you least expect it. After swiftly handling them, you'll need to push open the two grand doors to your right, embellished with a golden, curved cage. Discover a hidden bonfire known as “Rosaria’s Bed Chamber,” and just beyond it, you’ll encounter Rosaria herself.
Reaching Rosaria is only the beginning of the journey. To respec, you'll need to provide her with Pale Tongues. These items are rare finds, so you'll want to explore various strategies to gather them if you're considering frequent respecs during your gameplay. Keep in mind that you can only respec, or experience a "rebirth," five times during a single playthrough. If you're aiming for a sixth opportunity, you'll need to embark on a New Game Plus.
Ways to Achieve a Pale Tongue
For a fast and straightforward method to obtain Pale Tongues, simply eliminate the target during a Red Orb Invasion in PvP. If PvP isn't your thing, you can still farm them in PvE by taking down Darkwraiths, though be aware that the drop rate is significantly lower. Farming Darkwraiths presents an excellent opportunity to gather Souls at lower levels, despite the formidable challenge posed by these spine-chilling creatures. The Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire is an excellent location for farming Darkwraiths. It's conveniently situated near two of these foes, allowing for minimal travel if you happen to perish. Utilize any luck-enhancing items at your disposal to maximize the chances of obtaining a Pale Tongue drop.
