How to Fix "Server Region Unavailable" in Dark and Darker

• Step 1: Firstly, open the Control Panel. To do this, click the Start button and search for "Control Panel."
• Step 2: Now, open the "Windows Defender Firewall" settings. It will usually be in the section "System and Security."
• Step 3: In the left side of the window, select "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall."
• Step 4: Click on "Change Settings" to change the settings of the Firewall.
• Step 5: Click on "Allow another app" to add a new program to the firewall exceptions.
• Step 6: First navigate to the Dark and Darker installation directory, then select the "DarkAndDarker.exe" file. Click "Open" and then "Add."
• Step 7: For Dark and Darker, make sure both "Private" and "Public" are checked for network settings.
• Step 8: Click "OK" to close this window. Your changes should be saved by now. Now, once you have done this part, you can start the game again and check if you are able to play it error-free.

• Step 1: On the bottom right side, one will find the symbol of the antivirus program that has been installed on your computer. Right-click this icon.
• Step 2: Move your cursor over the name of your antivirus program. Click "Disable for 10 minutes" or "Disable permanently". If none of these buttons helps, you will be required to uninstall the antivirus program from your computer completely.
• Step 3: Run the game to see if the error message appears again.

• Step 1: Open Control Panel; to do this, click the Start button and type "Control Panel".

• Step 3: Now, click on the Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off option.

Run the game in Administrator mode.

• 1. Open Game File: First, search the shortcut icon for the game on your desktop. Right-click on this icon to open a context menu. Otherwise, you can go directly to the installation folder of the game following its path in your computer. Locate within the folder the executable file "DarkAndDarker.exe" and right-click on it.
• 2. Tuning Game Settings: This is done by selecting the game file or its shortcut and then clicking "Properties" in the context menu. This will bring up a properties window for the game. Click the tab named "Compatibility" in this window.
• 3. Grant Administrative Permissions: On the "Compatibility" tab, you will notice an option with a label "Run this program as an administrator." Check the box beside that item. Since this step gives higher privilege levels to the game, it very often works out the issues of incompatibility.
• 4. Apply changes: With the checkbox "Run this program as an administrator" selected, now click the "Apply" button to apply the change you have made, then the "OK" button to close the Properties window and confirm the changes made.
• 5. Test that the issues are resolved: Make the changes, then run the game. Provided everything went well, you should now be able to play your game without the error you saw before.
