CD Projekt Red has continued its commitment to refining Cyberpunk 2077 with consistent updates, and Patch 2.3, released on July 17, 2025, stands out by introducing significant quality-of-life features. Among these, the AutoDrive system offers a new way to experience Night City, allowing players to enjoy its vast, intricate environments from a relaxed perspective.

How To Enable AutoDrive in Cyberpunk 2077

AutoDrive provides a hands-free driving experience, enabling your vehicle to navigate Night City automatically.To activate AutoDrive:

Enter Your Vehicle: Get into any of your owned cars or motorcycles.

Be on a Road: Ensure your vehicle is currently on a drivable road. AutoDrive will not function off-road.

Activate:

• PC: Hold the H key.
• Consoles: Hold the Left Stick.

Once activated, your vehicle will behave in one of two ways:

• Guided Destination: If you have set a destination on your map (either a job objective or a custom-placed pin), AutoDrive will automatically navigate you to that location.
• Leisurely Ride: If no destination is set, AutoDrive will simply take you on a casual cruise around Night City's streets until you manually deactivate it.

Important Notes for AutoDrive:

• Camera Views: You can cycle through different camera positions while in AutoDrive by pressing D-Pad Right on consoles.
• Automatic Disablement: AutoDrive will automatically deactivate if:
  • You enter combat.
  • Your vehicle sustains extensive damage.
• Road Requirement: Remember, your vehicle must be on a road for AutoDrive to function.

For an even more immersive and visually striking experience, Cyberpunk 2077 offers a dedicated cinematic camera mode for AutoDrive.

To enable the Cinematic Camera:

• While AutoDrive is active:
  • PC: Hold Q.
  • Consoles: Hold D-Pad Right.

This action will hide most of the user interface and activate dynamiccinematic camera angles, similar to those found in games like GTA V orRed Dead Redemption 2, allowing you to fully appreciate Night City'sstunning visuals as your vehicle autonomously drives.
