To unlock this dapper attire, you'll need to undertake a small quest during the game's prologue, Lumiere, while playing as Sophie.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33: Get the Crimson Uniform
Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain Gustave's Crimson Uniform:Step 1: Find Richard and Obtain "A Uniform for Richard's Son"During the Lumiere chapter, while playing as Sophie, your initial task is to locate Jules’ father, Richard. He possesses a uniform he lovingly made for his son. You'll find Richard standing near a statue. Approach and talk to him. He will offer you the uniform and you must accept it to proceed with this mini-quest. This will add the quest item “A Uniform for Richard’s Son” to your inventory.
Step 2: Locate Jules During the Expedition Festival
After the Gommage cutscene plays, the Expedition Festival will begin. It's crucial to find and speak with Jules before Emma’s speech concludes the festival. Missing this opportunity means you'll have tostart the game over if you want to obtain the Crimson Uniform.
You'll find Jules near a tall lamppost within the festival area. Once you spot him, approach and talk to him.
Step 3: Give the Uniform to Jules (and Receive a Gift)
During your brief conversation with Jules, present him with the uniform his father entrusted to you.5 After a short exchange, Jules will tell Gustave to keep the uniform. He expresses that he won't have any need for it and would prefer to see his father's handiwork put to good use. This act of generosity fromJules will unlock Gustave’s Crimson Uniform for you.
Step 4: Equip the Crimson Uniform
To change Gustave's appearance, open the Pause Menu and navigate to Gustave’s character page. From there, select “Wardrobe.” Once you are in the Wardrobe menu, you can find and select the Crimson Uniform to equip it, giving Gustave a distinguished new look for your expedition.
