Head to the Dark Aether Nexus
After upgrading your weapon, head to the Dark Aether Nexus, which is located in the Subterranean Temple area. The Dark Aether Nexus is pretty easy to unlock. Here's how:
- Start off by heading to the Subterranean Temple area, which is easily accessible next to the Shrine of the Hierophants.
- Step 2: When you reach the center, in purple, is where the Dark Aether crystal will be; place the Amulet you picked up from Citadelle des Morts there. You are now able to activate the Dark Aether crystal.
- Step 3: The crystal starts sending out rays once you have activated it, and the portal to Dark Aether Nexus will appear.
Be careful, as the portal unleashes zombies, which you must kill.

After sending the zombies to their graves, head to the Dark Aether Nexus and look for the green portal at the west of the map. You will find a crafting table there. Proceed further, and you will see two beautiful waterfalls falling graciously on the right and then on the left, adding to the tremendous beauty. With the ammo mod weapon, shoot both waterfalls and freeze them. Once frozen, an Aether tool will pop up in the middle. Grab it and use it to upgrade your weapon.
