Several people online are still baffled by the accomplishment, and many others are looking for an explanation of how to get it. After all, there is not exactly a plethora of food in a game about repairing things. Because of this, hitting the wrong button can lead to it going unseen.
How to get the Choking Hazard achievement in Awaria?
You may have to wait a little while in Awaria to unlock the Choking Hazard achievement. Level three must be unlocked before proceeding.
On any difficulty setting, enter the level standing still. Immediately upon entering the level, start mashing Space Bar repeatedly. Your character will start to eat and mock the player and the specters. One hit of Space Bar won't do it; you have to keep hitting it well past the point where the game warns you that you're going to choke. When to stop hitting Space Bar. is after you see the achievement pop, so help you.
Other than unlocking the achievement, there is no purpose in eating the food other than to affront other players or to make the game more challenging. Find the game too easy? Well, eat between repairs then - as a challenge for yourself. Use it as a way to challenge yourself if you wish.
Later levels, when you face the final enemy, the eating motion is removed and instead replaced with a dash, which is so much more useful. Shouldn't we have gotten that sooner rather than later?
