How to Reset in Avowed

Not enjoying your character build in Avowed? Don't worry, you're not stuck with your initial choices. This guide explains how to respec your abilities, attributes, and even your companions, allowing you to fine-tune your playstyle and maximize your effectiveness.

Avowed: How to Reset

Respeccing is a valuable tool, especially early in the game when you're still experimenting with different builds. It's common to find that your initial vision for a character doesn't quite translate to your preferred playstyle. Respeccing allows you to adapt and create a character you truly enjoy. Later in the game, respeccing can also be crucial for optimizing your build for specific challenges or achieving your ideal character fantasy.

Respeccing Abilities

Open the menu and go to the "Abilities" section.

At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the "Reset Points" option.

The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, and this price increases as you progress.

Press the button, confirm your choice, and pay the listed cost.

All your ability points across all skill trees (except "Godlike") will be refunded. Godlike abilities are earned through in-game choices and cannot be respec'd.

Respeccing Attributes

Open the menu and go to the "Character" section.

At the bottom, under the attribute names, you'll see a button and itsassociated cost (again, 100 Copper Skeyt initially, increasing overtime).

Press the button, pay the cost, and your attribute points will be refunded.

Respeccing Companions

Open the menu and go to the "Abilities" section.

Navigate to the "Companions" tab.

Below your companion's name, you'll see an icon and button indicating the cost (in Copper Skeyt) to respec them.

Press the button and confirm your choice. All of your companion's ability points will be refunded.
