Early in the unbelievably charming adventure that is Astro Bot, there is an unusual and unexpected challenge in the KO! trophy. The reward asks for two specific Bots that are hidden in secret levels of the overworld; these hidden arenas, tucked deep in the vast landscapes and requiring diligence to find, add freshness away from the main campaign.
Once discovered, this opens these secret arenas and a great opportunity for friendly competitiveness. Being able to play playful bouts with these mystery opponents lets players show their skill and quickness in reflexes while revealing one of the best-kept secrets of Astro Bot, entitled the KO! trophy, which is a sign of a will to explore and to take on any unexpected challenge thrown at them throughout this magical journey.
The secrets of the Gorilla Nebula and Tentacle System need to be found to start the martial arts journey with Astro Bot. These secret places have enclosed the legendary Street Fighter characters Ryu and Ken, who are waiting to be discovered.
After defeating each one of these worlds' bosses, a celestial phenomenon will occur-asteroids spawning. These are no ordinary cosmic bodies of space junk, for they hold the secrets leading to the hidden levels containing Ryu and Ken. Destroy one of these asteroids, and the path to "Retro Rampage" shall appear.
These retro-inspired levels are going to take you back into the golden era of arcades. While navigating across these pixelated landscapes, get ready for some fierce encounters against classic enemies. And once you've conquered these, you will have earned the right to add fearsome Ryu and Ken to your roster at Crash Site.
With these two martial arts masters by his side, Astro Bot will be ready for anything. Sharpen your reflexes and your skills in this thrilling quest to bring the legends of Street Fighter into your cosmic adventure.
The first few times, I tried so many ways to get the specific elusive trophy: hit the Bots one by one and all at once, position myself between them during their animations. However, the attempts I did never succeeded, as the specific trophy would just refuse to pop up. It was after all the trial-and-error attempts that the coming combination unlocked it. Indeed, strategic intervention during the fight between Ken and Ryu was needed if the trophy was to be unlocked. By timing an attack on Ryu right when he did his trademark uppercut on me after previously hitting Ken, I triggered the trophy. Most likely, it has little to do with just getting hit by an attack, but rather being an active, third-party participant in a fight. This seems like the dynamic, almost a form of tagging in to help one character against the other during their animations, that's required to unlock the trophy.
Now that you know How to pick a fight with two street fighting warriors in Astro Bot, you have the steps necessary to achieve it.
