While the other islands offer stunning scenery and plenty to explore, this one boasts a unique feature: a colossal crab that dominates the landscape. Beyond the crustacean spectacle, there's a treasure trove of collectibles waiting to be discovered. Let's dive into the details and find out where to uncover them all.
The first collectible can be found near the starting point. As you venture through the lush palm trees and sandy shores, keep an eye out for a small, hidden alcove. Inside, you'll discover a glowing orb that can be collected by jumping into it.
Continuing your exploration, you'll encounter a series of challenges that require precision and timing. Overcome these obstacles to unlock additional collectibles hidden throughout the level. One such challenge involves swinging across a series of vines, each leading to a different platform with a collectible waiting.
As you make your way towards the island's central area, you'll encounter the giant crab. This formidable creature may seem intimidating, but with careful maneuvering, you can avoid its attacks and reach the collectible hidden behind its massive shell.
Astro Bot: Where to find each collectible on Go-Go Archipelago!
- Bot 1: The first bot is tethered to a palm tree directly to your right upon landing. To liberate it, ascend the nearby dolphin statue, traverse its length, and deliver a forceful blow to the bot's restraints.
- Bot 2: The second bot is nestled within a conch shell on the left side of the initial island. To retrieve it, administer a well-placed kick to its conch-shaped abode.
- Bot 3: Once you've acquired the Monkey Backpack upgrade and navigated past the subsequent checkpoint, you'll encounter a clam. Open it to obtain a stash of rocks. Utilize these rocks to demolish the boxes situated on your left and subsequently leap through the resulting gap. Engage and defeat the adversaries that await, then employ your monkey mitts to strike the circle, causing a profusion of flowers to bloom. Employ these floral blooms as stepping stones to ascend the cliff above. Upon reaching the summit, open the clam, and rescue the third bot.
- Bot 4: The first of the two Cameo Bots is confined within a cage positioned at the center of the glass bridge. To liberate it, utilize Astro's lasers to cut a hole around the cage, causing it to plummet to the ground below. Follow suit, descend to the ground level, and free the captive Yorda.
- Bot 5: After descending to rescue Yorda, you'll observe a sizable boulder resting on a diminutive island. Grasp the boulder, hoist it aloft, and hurl it towards the destructible wall positioned across the way. Traverse the newly created passage by swimming across the water, then employ your feelers to manipulate the appropriate block, thereby opening the pathway to the fifth bot.
- Bot 6: Once you've breached the door situated just beyond the glass bridge, engage and eliminate the adversaries that await. Ascend the nearby structure, then turn around to face the direction from which you came. From this vantage point, leap across to the cannon. Engage in a session of Donkey Konga to activate the cannon, firing a controller cable towards the nearby island. Atop the mast of the ship on that island, you'll discover our second Cameo Bot, Ico.
- Bot 7: Our seventh and final bot is concealed within a barrel, positioned just prior to the glass wall. After rescuing Ico, ascend the cliff, engage and defeat the adversaries surrounding the checkpoint, and then pull the rope attached to the barrel to liberate our last diminutive companion.
Puzzle Pieces
- Piece 1: As you approach the wreckage in your Dual Speeder, you'll notice a toucan flying nearby. The toucan is carrying the first puzzle piece. After clearing the wreckage, boost your speed and veer left to intercept the toucan and capture the piece.
- Piece 2: Once you've acquired the Monkey Backpack and reached the next checkpoint, you'll encounter a chest. Inside the chest, you'll find a stash of rocks. Pick up one of the rocks and hurl it at the wall on your right. This will dislodge a rock above, creating a new pathway. Climb up the newly revealed path to reach the second puzzle piece.
- Piece 3: The final puzzle piece is located midway up the last cliff climb. After traversing the broken rope bridge, you'll see a large boulder obstructing your path. Jump over the boulder and use it as a tool to break through the wall, revealing the third and final puzzle piece.
Go-Go Archipelago: Lost Galaxy Entrance
To discover the entrance to the Lost Galaxy, you must first defeat the formidable Captain Pincher. After vanquishing the pirate, don't immediately jump onto the final platform. Instead, turn around and examine the sandy ground. You'll notice one of Captain Pincher's claws embedded in the sand, with a pile of coins beneath it. Collect the coins and spin to activate a hidden mechanism. This will cause the ground to sink beneath you, revealing a secret passage that leads to the entrance to Light Bulb Limbo.
