• Secure Essential Resources: Around the same time you unlock the Eques class, you will gain access to Concrete. This material is the lifeblood of aqueduct construction. Ensure your production chain for Concrete is robust and efficient. You will also need steady supplies of Wood, Tiles, and Denarii (coin).

The Aqueduct Source: This is the starting point of your system and must be placed on a special Mountain Slot on your island. Be mindful, as these valuable slots are also used forresource buildings like Limestone Quarries and Iron Mines. Plan yourisland's economy carefully to avoid conflicts.

The Aqueduct Channel: These are the connecting segments that carry water from the source toyour city. You can build long chains of these channels and even createbranching paths to reach multiple districts.

The Aqueduct Cistern: This is the endpoint where water is distributed. Placing a cistern provides a significant boost to Health and Fire Safety for all buildings within its radius. A single aqueduct line can supply multiple cisterns.

Crucial Building Tip: Gravity is Key. Water cannot flow uphill. Always plan your aqueduct route to runsteadily downhill from the Source to your Cisterns. Use the game’s Planning Mode (press V) to map the perfect, gravity-fed route without spending any resources.

Here, you can see which cisterns and boosted buildings are consuming water. If youreach the cap, you can manually turn off water to specific farms orplantations from this menu to prioritize essential services.
