Among them is a very specific one that is fishing that you have the possibility of catching a wide range of unique marine animals in the game.

Among the marine animals you can catch is the soft-shelled turtle and in this guide we will show you its location, sale price and more.

How to catch soft-shelled turtles in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

• Northern Hemisphere: August-September
• Southern Hemisphere: February-March

While playing in the periods already mentioned, the turtle can be found between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Make sure to catch it while it's on your island, as it only lasts for a few months of the year.

As for her catch, you'll need to equip your fishing rod and make sure to hold it, get close to any river on your island and look for a medium-sized shadow in the water.

Keep your eyes on the sea and throw your fishing rod in front of the turtle by pressing A.

Wait until you see the float sink, indicating that the turtle has been bitten and is ready to be taken out, press A again and you're done! If you are lucky you may have caught the turtle.

Try to use whatever fish bait you have on top to spawn more fish if you're not lucky to catch the turtle the first time.
