Today we bring you an explanatory guide on How to Use Electric Fences in 7 Days to Die with precise details.

Another major part of survival in 7 Days to Die is the need to fortify the base against endless zombie hordes. As the settlement grows, so does the need for a sophisticated defense system. Turrets and electric fences are really important tools in this regard since they can create an ultimate barrier against the dead. It's not just about building defenses but how to strategically place and make use of them that really matters. This guide is going to teach you everything about electric fencing, so that simple barriers are transformed into important components in your impenetrable fortress.

7 Days to Die: How to Use Electric Fences

One of the most powerful defensive structures in 7 Days to Die is the electric fence. Crafted from 7 forged iron, 3 electrical parts, and 25 electrical trap magazines at a workbench, it can reach as much as 14 blocks, making for a very formidable barrier. To power this electrified deterrent, you'll need a battery, a motor, and a generator. First, construct the generator with a motor and connect them to charge the battery. Next, run the electric wire from the battery down to a series of electric poles. Keep a clear path for easier performance.

Any creature or player unlucky enough to pass through an electrified barrier will be greeted with the "Shocked" status effect. This debilitating condition inflicts ongoing damage, while also slowing or immobilizing the victim. While the undead do grow temporarily resistant to the shock after a while, human players are not so fortunate and are vulnerable as long as they remain in range of the fence.

Note that with each enemy whom the fence zaps, the durability gradually reduces. Repairing this fence is easy and requires additional electrical parts and forged iron. Strategically laying down an electric fence, repairing it in time will increase its chance of survival against the undead horde and other survivors.

Finally, now that we have covered what is necessary for How to Use Electric Fences in 7 Days to Die, it remains for us to do so in order to get the most out of this element of the game.
