Understanding the 2XKO Tier Structure
Following in the footsteps of other popular Riot Games titles, 2XKO employs a detailed tier-based ranking system. Your journey begins at the bottom, and you must battle your way through a series of ten distinct ranks. Most of these ranks are further divided into three tiers (I, II, III), creating a clear and structured path for progression.The ultimate goal for every competitive player is to ascend from the starting Aspirant rank all the way to the prestigious Challenger tier, a status reserved for the absolute best.The Complete List of Competitive Ranks

A Note on Elite Tiers: Once you break through the Master rank, the progression system changes. The Grandmaster and Challenger tiers operate on a pure points-based leaderboard. Reaching the top 500players on the server is what earns you the coveted Challenger rank,pitting you against the elite of the elite.
How Ranked Points (RP) Drive Your Progress
At the heart of the ranked ladder are Ranked Points (RP). You earn RP for every victory, and the amount is influenced by yourperformance and your opponent's skill level. Conversely, losing a matchwill cost you RP.
Each tier within a rank requires 100 RP to advance to the next. For instance, earning 100 RP in Bronze II willpromote you to Bronze III. Any extra RP you earn beyond the 100-pointthreshold carries over to your next tier. So, a win that grants 10 RPwhen you are at 99 points will not only promote you but also leave youwith 9 RP already banked in your new tier.
Starting Your Journey: Placement Matches Explained
Before you are assigned a rank, you must first complete your Placement Matches. This series of five initial ranked games assesses your skill level todetermine your starting position on the ladder. Yourperformance—specifically your win-loss record—is the primary factor inthis calculation.
Pro Tip: Be cautious when teaming up with a friend for your placement matches.If your duo partner is significantly more skilled, you may be placedagainst tougher opponents. It's often wise to spend time in unrankedmatches first to solidify your skills and find your main champion.
Safeguarding Your Rank: Demotion Protection
2XKO incorporates a player-friendly safety net to prevent immediate demotion after a tough loss. If a defeat would cause you to drop a tier or rank, the system will first reduce your RP to zero within your current tier.This gives you a crucial buffer match—a final chance to secure a win and save your rank.
Forexample, if you are in Silver I with 10 RP and lose a match costing 15RP, you will remain in Silver I but with 0 RP. Lose again, and thedemotion to Silver III will then occur.
The Strategic Best-of-Three (Bo3) Rematch
A unique and strategic feature of 2XKO is the post-game Bo3 Rematch system. After a match, either player can request a rematch to settle the scorein a best-of-three series. This offers a chance for redemption andallows you to adapt to your opponent's strategy and champion choices.
While this is a powerful tool for climbing, remember it's a double-edgedsword. Your opponent is also learning your habits, so approach a rematch with a adaptable game plan.
