Wuchang: Fallen Feathers,
Poise Break is a critical status effect that can turn a battle on its head. While it may not be a major concern early in the game, mastering how to manage it becomes essential when facing tougher enemies and bosses, where being stunned can mean the difference between victory and defeat.
Wuchang Fallen Feathers: remove Poise Break
What Poise Break Does
Poise Break is a debuff that, once triggered, leaves your character vulnerable to a devastating follow-up attack.
- Triggering the Effect: As you take hits from certain enemy attacks, a hidden Poise Break bar fills up.
- The Consequences: When this bar is full, the next attack that lands on you will not only deal significantly more damage but will also stun and stagger your character, leaving you exposed to further attacks.
- Visual Cue: The status effect is often indicated by a distinct yellow-white sinogram that appears on the screen. This visual cue can sometimes change based on the elemental damage type of the attack that caused it (e.g., a blue-white glow for lightning).
The same mechanic applies to enemies. By landing attacks that deal high Poise damage, you can fill up an enemy's Poise Break bar. Once full, your next hit will land a strong critical attack and briefly interrupt their movement, giving you a crucial window to deal free damage or recover.
A Guide to Removing Poise Break
To clear the Poise Break status and prevent its severe consequences, you need a specific consumable item: the Topaz Lotus Seed.
- Item Name: Topaz Lotus Seed
- Function: Instantly removes the Poise Break status and clears the buildup on your bar.
- Best Use: It's best to use a Topaz Lotus Seed proactively, particularly when your Poise Break bar is nearly full, and you're about to take a hit. This is most effective in high-stakes fights where being stunned is not anoption.
- How to Get:
- Loot: Topaz Lotus Seeds are a relatively rare drop in the early game. As you progress, especially into later areas like the Cloudspire region, they become more common. Keep an eye out for loot spots, particularly those near Boudoir’s Retreat, where they can be found more frequently.
- Enemy Drops: After defeating the Mistress of the Night and entering the quarry area, you'll encounter new enemies that have a chance to drop these seeds.
- Vendor: You can purchase Topaz Lotus Seeds from the vendor Wu Gang for 160 Red Mercury each. While this is an expensive option, it's a reliable way to stock up before a difficult boss fight.
- Item Management:
- Stack Size: You can hold up to five Topaz Lotus Seeds in your quick-use slots.
- Storage: Any extra seeds you collect will be stored in your inventory (up to 999).
- Refill at Shrines: Whenever you rest at a Shrine, your quick-use stack will beautomatically refilled from your stored seeds, so you don't have tomanually manage them between encounters.
Mastering the use of the Topaz Lotus Seed is key to surviving high-pressurefights and is a fundamental part of the defensive strategy in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
