The Unexpected Encounter in the Cloudspire Mines
Towards the end of the challenging Cloudspire region, your journey will take you into a network of dark mine shafts. This area is accessible only after you have defeated the boss Mistress of the Night – Huang Yan. Deep within these shafts, you will discover a small prison area, where you find Commander Honglan trapped in a cell.This is an unmissable opportunity. Talking to Honglan and informing her of the Mistress’s defeat will trigger a dialogue sequence that initiates this optional quest.The Quest for the Dungeon Key
To free Honglan, you must locate the key held by her captors. Whilethe quest itself is simple, the execution requires careful combat as the area is guarded by several powerful enemies.
Here is a step-by-step breakdown of how to find the key and complete the quest:
Step 1: Clear the Initial AreaThe area immediately surrounding Honglan's cell is guarded by a handfulof enemies, including a large and formidable troll. Before proceeding,it is crucial to defeat all the enemies you see in the main prisonchamber.
Step 2: Take the Path to the Key WardenOnce the initial area is clear, look for a path that branches off to the left of Honglan's cell. This path leads to a smaller, more secludedchamber.
Step 3: Defeat the Key WardenThis secondary room contains more enemies, including the specific warden with a white hat who holds the key. Focus on defeating all the enemies in this room. The key will drop automatically after the warden is defeated.
Important Note: The quest will not progress unless you have defeated all the enemies in both the main prison area and the side chamber. If youare struggling to proceed after getting the key, double-check that noenemies remain.
Step 4: Return to HonglanWith the Dungeon Key in hand, return to Commander Honglan's cell. A newdialogue option will appear, allowing you to hand over the key andcomplete your task.
The Reward: Coiled Dragon Pendant
Upon receiving her key, Honglan will express her thanks and reward you with a special item for your assistance. The reward is the Coiled Dragon Pendant, a powerful accessory that significantly boosts your character's combat potential.
The pendant's primary benefit is a substantial increase in weapon skill power. This makes it an ideal item for players whose builds rely heavily ontheir active weapon skills for damage output. Equipping this pendant can give you a noticeable advantage in subsequent boss fights andencounters.
To confirm the quest is complete, you can rest at anearby shrine or save point. When you return to the prison cell, Honglan will have departed, leaving you to continue your journey through theCloudspire region and prepare for the final boss of the area.
