Initiate the QuestUpon arriving at the northern shore, locate and speak with the Wayfarer of Sundara Lands. Directly beside them, you will find a murmuring monk. Engage this monk in conversation to officially begin the "Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept" questline.
2. Perform the Rituals
The troubled monk will ask for your assistance in performing a sacred ritual. He will guide you through three key actions:
- Light an incense stick.
- Make a ceremonial offering.
- Scatter the ashes from the cliffside.
3. Join the Solemn Procession
After the ritual, the monk will join a silent, ghostly procession movingtowards a distant temple. Your task is to follow him and the groupthrough a narrow corridor. Stay with them as they walk.
4. Confront the Spiritual Flames
The procession will halt at the temple entrance, where you will encounterthe spirits of a devotee and his child. Continue walking with the groupuntil a mysterious, blockading fire erupts on the path. Here, you must:
- Set down any lantern you are carrying.
- Turn back and speak with the monk once more.
- With newfound purpose, follow the monk as he courageously walks directlyinto the flames. You must do the same, passing through the spiritualfire alongside the other souls.
5. Guide the Souls to Peace
After emerging from the fire, speak with the monk again. He will direct yourattention to a memorial tablet. The spirits will now guide you—followthem to the tablet's location. Once there, interact with the tablet tolight it.
