What is the Sledgehammer in MW3 and Warzone?

The sledgehammer is a new melee weapon introduced in Season 4 Reloaded of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. It is characterized by its brutal power and its ability to eliminate enemies with a single well-placed blow.

How does the Sledgehammer work in MW3 and Warzone?

The sledgehammer offers three types of attacks:

Normal Strike: A quick, light blow that stuns enemies.
Heavy Strike: A slower but more powerful blow that can eliminate enemies with a direct hit.
Charged Strike: A devastating attack that requires a short charge time and has the ability to kill even the most resistant enemies in one hit.

To unlock the deck, players must complete five of the following challenges during Week 5 of Season 4:

MW3 Multiplayer

Get 30 Operator Assists.
Kill 10 Operators with the stock of a recommended weapon.
Get 15 one-shot kills with recommended shotguns.
Get 12 Operator Kills with Claymores, Proximity Mines, or C4.
Perform 3 Finishing Moves on Enemy Operators.
Get 3 Double Melee Operator Kills.
Get 2 Fury Operator Kills with a recommended weapon.

MW3 Zombies

Complete 10 Contracts.
Get 75 Kills with the stock of a recommended weapon.
Get 250 one-shot kills with a recommended Pack-a-Punched Shotgun.
Get 75 Kills with Claymores, Proximity Mines, or C4.
Perform 5 Finishing Moves on Mercs.
Get 10 kills without getting hit 20 times with a recommended melee weapon.
Get 5 quick kills 30 times with a recommended assault rifle.

Warzone

In Warzone Fortune's Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the North region.
In Warzone Fortune's Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the West region.
In Warzone Fortune's Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the East region.
In Warzone Fortune's Keep, get 10 Operator kills in the South region.
In Warzone, finish in the top 10 5 times.
In Warzone, complete 10 contracts.
In Warzone, open 50 loot boxes.

Unlock Deck Tips

If you're focusing on multiplayer challenges, Shipment is a great map to quickly complete kills and assists.
In Zombies, focus on contracts that take you to areas with lots of enemies clustered together.
In Warzone, take advantage of Battle Royale mode to complete contracts and open loot boxes while taking out enemies.

Strategies for using the Sledgehammer

The Sledgehammer is a high-risk, high-reward weapon. Its raw power makes it a machine for taking out enemies, but its slowness makes it vulnerable in open spaces.
