Towers of Aghasba: How to Farm Withered Tar Basically, the methods for farming Withered Tar in the Towers of Aghasba revolve around seeking and killing dark creatures, since those would be the products or results of withered enemies. Note : While the Withered Razi, small spider-like monsters will not drop Withered Tar, most of the other Withered monsters will give it as a reward for killing them.
The best strategy for farming this resource is to find Withered Zones because that's where most of them will be. However, you can only stay in the zone for so long before you die unless you pick up Clear Sky plants or use Withered Antidotes, so long-term hunting can be challenging. Although it is not limited to them, you can acquire Withered Tar from the following creatures regardless of whether you are in the Withered Zones or not:
- Dying Razilith
- Old, Dying Snags
- Dying Defenders
- Rangers in decline
Once you have killed all of your enemies, they drop a bag-and that bag may contain Tar. You will always get it, but not every opponent you hunt has it since loot is randomly generated and depends on your luck.

Although less common than thatch and kelp, withered tar has one very important primary use. You'll want Withered Tar combined with Mushroom Caps and Reapershrooms to create Simple Withered Antitodes and Greater Withered Antidotes, respectively.
