Let it be known right off the bat that Dragon's Dogma 2 is still in its infancy as of this writing. This is all factually correct, although we may be missing some details regarding character customization and its effects on gameplay at the moment. However, based on our observations and experiences thus far, the following are the outcomes that can result from various character development choices:
Also, it's worth noting that, in comparison to the first Dragon's Dogma, the sequel doesn't appear to have made much of an effort to highlight how different character customization options affect gameplay. It appears that an Arisen's max encumbrance is less affected by their weight class, total stamina is unaffected by their weight, and so on. When creating a character, the two most important variables that will impact the game are the character's height and overall size, which is the sum of their weight and height. The rest, including a person's gender, color, and even minor characteristics like longer arms or legs, won't matter much in terms of gameplay.

For instance, it appears that short characters can fall a bit farther without triggering the full'splat' motion, whereas tall characters face plant from lower heights throughout the fall.
Confirmed Effects (Masculine) No Statistical Advantage, However Some Opponents Do Pay Attention To It
We don't know much about the gender effects just yet in Dragon's Dogma 2, but we do know that there are several key distinctions. One thing to keep in mind is that the conversation for some NPCs will vary depending on your gender. These are extremely unlikely to occur, yet they are possible.
Two, and this is the most noticeable change that fans were worried wouldn't be in the sequel, is how Ogres behave when they're around female characters. When facing up against an ogre, it is highly likely that the monster will disproportionately attack female characters or those with a feminine physical type. And if an ogre gets a hold of one of these female characters, they'll flee the battlefield for a good distance before slobbering all over them, inflicting a lot of damage. Furthermore, it appears that ogres still get furious more quickly and strike more frequently when female characters are involved in combat.
Elder Ogres in the original Dragon's Dogma would display the same peculiar behavior, except they would target male players. This was a bit of a bait-and-switch. It appears that the Grim Ogres, particularly those found in the Unmoored World, have brought this mechanic back in Dragon's Dogma 2. In contrast to the usual ogres, these ones will go after male pawns and risens. As for the Ogres not targeting you when they typically would, there's some fan conjecture and video proof suggesting that you can hide your character with certain sets of armor and helmets that disguise their faces. Once again, this isn't confirmed, but it's worth noting because it has been tested and mentioned.
The Disparities in Height and Weight Are Very Similar.
To a large extent, this appears to be the case in Dragon's Dogma 2. The impacts of low-weight characters' faster stamina regeneration and high-weight characters' greater max encumbrance are both less noticeable now.
