Ailments are mystical illnesses that function similarly to the illnesses found in the Get to Work expansion, but with a magical twist. When a Sim contracts an Ailment, they will experience special moodlets, and the effects can sometimes even spread to other Sims.Sims can contract Ailments through several distinct ways:

• Cursed by a Fairy: Direct interaction with a Fairy Sim can sometimes result in a curse that leads to an Ailment.
• Caught from another Sim: Some Ailments are contagious and can spread from an infected Sim to others.
• Bad Luck: Certain instances of bad luck in the game might manifest as an Ailment.
• Low Balance: If a Sim's 'Balance' stat (likely related to their connection with nature or magic) is low, they might be more susceptible.

Sims afflicted with Ailments often develop visible physical symptoms, such as unique markings on their skin or distinct auras around them. These indicators can help players identify infected Sims and decide whether to approach or avoid them, especially if the Ailment is known to be contagious.

How to Cure Ailments in The Sims 4: Enchanted By Nature

Ailments will eventually subside on their own over time. However, if their symptoms are too disruptive or dangerous, players can actively cure them using Elixirs.Methods of Curing Ailments:

• Elixirs: Elixirs are specific concoctions designed to cure individual Ailments. They can be:
  • Purchased: Elixirs can be bought from the Innisgreen Apothecary.
  • Crafted: Sims can craft Elixirs using an Apothecary Table. As a Sim's Apothecary Skill level increases, they will unlock the ability to craft more advanced cures and Elixirs.
• Fairy Abilities: Fairy Sims possess unique abilities through their Fairy Skill Tree. Some of these abilities allow them to cure Ailments in other Sims.
• Naturopath Career: Sims who join the Naturopath Career can further their understanding of Ailments and their symptoms. As a Naturopath, Sims can treat clients from home by examining them and then administering the appropriate cure.

Ingredients for crafting Elixirs, such as Aura Petals, Sage, Daisy, and Lemon, can be either foraged in nature or purchased directly at the Apothecary Table.
