Cooking is a vital skill in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, serving as a primary way to manage your stamina, raise your friendship with villagers, and turn a significant profit at the weekly Bazaar. While your farmhouse comes equipped with a basic kitchen, you will need to actively work to expand your culinary repertoire and acquire the right tools to become a master chef.This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about cooking, from finding new recipes to upgrading your kitchen and preparing delicious meals.

SoS Grand Bazaar: How To Cook

Step 1: Unlocking New Recipes

You cannot cook a dish without knowing the recipe first. There are several ways to expand your cookbook in Zephyr Town.

• Buy and Eat Cooked Dishes: This is the most straightforward method. Simply visit a café in town, such as the one in the town square, and purchase a meal. Once you eat the dish, you will automatically learn its recipe. The café's menu expands as your Bazaar Rank increases, so be sure to check back often.
• Find Hidden Recipes: Many recipes are hidden on bookshelves and inside drawers in the homes of various townspeople. You must actively search for them.
• Receive Recipes as Rewards: Villagers may give you recipes as a gift after you raise your friendship level with them, or you may receive one as a reward for completing a quest.

Step 2: Expand Your Kitchen

Your initial kitchen is basic, equipped only with a cutting board. To cook more complex dishes, you must upgrade your kitchen by purchasingnew utensils from Garon's Construction Shop.

To unlock Garon’s shop, you must first complete his request, "Garon Aims to Set Up Shop," which requires you to own four animals. Once his shop is available atthe Bazaar, you can purchase the following essential tools:

• Frying Pan: For making fried and sautéed dishes.
• Cooking Pot: For making soups, stews, and boiled recipes.
• Oven: For making baked goods and roasts.

These upgrades are crucial for unlocking your full cooking potential and accessing your entire recipe collection.

Step 3: The Cooking Process

Once you have a recipe and the right ingredients, cooking is a simple and quick process.

• Enter the Kitchen: Go into your house and head to the back room where your kitchen is located.
• Approach the Cutting Board: Stand in front of the cutting board and press the prompted button to enter the cooking menu.
• Select a Recipe: The menu will show you a list of all your known recipes. Recipes thatyou can make will have a clear icon, while those that require a tool you don't have will be grayed out.
• Begin Cooking: Select the recipe you want to make, and the game will prompt you to "Begin."
• Choose Quantity: You can choose to cook up to 10 of a single dish at a time, as long asyou have the required ingredients in your rucksack or storage house.
• Enjoy the Results: Once you've chosen your quantity and confirmed, the dish will instantly be added to your inventory. You can now use it to recover stamina, give it as a gift, or sell it for a higher price at the Bazaar.
