Most of the NPCs in Stardew Valley have backstories that are way more complex than what meets the eye. Pam is one such character who often visits the Stardrop Saloon to drown her sorrows in alcohol.

A friend could get Pam through some hard times, and the player can benefit from that friendship as well. Stardew Valley is a game about friendship, so it is worth your time to befriend Pam, even if she is a bit of a grump. I'll guide you on how to win her heart.

How To Befriend Pam in Stardew Valley?

Purchasing a drink for or her favorite meal will grant the player 80 points in their friendship with Pam. Any gift given to Pam on her birthday, which falls in spring of 2018, will have a value eight times the normal point value.

Loaded Presents

Liked gifts will earn 45 points of development in the player's relationship with Pam, but it won't be as extreme. If Loved gifts aren't available, the following are all decent substitutions.

Unliked and Hated Gifts

Quests

Like most of the villagers living in Pelican Town, Pam will occasionally request aid from the player. She will develop friendship with you if you agree to do her chores.

Pam Is Thirsty: On the 14th of Summer, the player will get a letter from Pam demanding a Pale Ale. They will get 350g plus one friendship heart if they give it to her.
We Need Juice for Pam: Another letter from Pam, this one dated 19th fall of Year 2, asks for a replacement battery for her television remote control. Once again, in addition to 400g, gamers will receive one friendship heart.

Advantages and Benefits of Friendship

With most villagers, the player can expect the occasional letter gift from Pam, and her likelihood of sending an item increases as their friendship level rises. The beer she gives out isn't exactly practical, but the battery pack and energy tonic she also brings are.
